Experience and taste Valtice

Valtice

Valtice grape harvest

Wine festivals come in all shapes and colours and involve large picnics in a leafy environment. In numerous spots, and especially in the historical market place, the tables get fully decked: stands with wine, sturm (young wine), and culinary delectables, as well as a historical market with a colourful program.

Wine tasting, wine markets, open wine cellars, folk costume festivals, young wine tasting,  Advent season with fragrant mulled wine, and further events having to do with wine in the wine capital of the Czech Republic make Valtice a top location for wine lovers.

Valtice coloured orange

Valtice also smells like its fruits, which are best taken with a sip of wine. They can be tasted at the Valtice apricot festival, where wine and even sturm (young wine) are coloured orange! Both sweet and sour apricots are also there for tasting.

Winter in Valtice

Valtice offers wine delights even during the frosty winter and under a coat of snow. Dressed warmly, one can roam the streets during the wine carnival and then close off the day at the ballroom dance, warming oneself up to the melodies coming from the double bass .
